Noyes Fludde - the rest of the ark (part 3)

And the last two. Okay the final two are not a complete match. I was told I had to have a raven, however, as he's important in the plot. But he sure was boring to paint, so I decided to give him a more gaudy mate. :-) I mean the apes don't exactly match either but those apes will do anything!

Okay, the next five. Now two to go.

Hurray! I finally finished all the two-by-two animals for the Noye's Fludde performance next weekend - 12 pairs of animals in all - so here they are. Phew. And thank heaven for the Black & Decker electric scissors my dad bought me. I don't know how I would have gotten them all cut out in time otherwise. Here are the first five at any rate. Blogger only seems to allow 5 images per post, so the rest will follow.

Giraffe - Noye's Fludde

LOL, well this is a change of pace - done with poster paints on 20x30-inch foamboard. The kids from church are doing a performance of Benjamin Britten's "Noye's Fludde" (Noah's Flood) in March, and I've sort of volunteered to paint a bunch of animal heads on foamboard for the kids to carry on sticks as they march down the aisles. This giraffe was the "test" animal to see if I qualified for the job. :-) The animals should be childlike but bold and easy to see.

I'm supposed to get a list of the number of kids involved and which specific animals are requested. I just hope I get it soon so I'll have time to do them!
